World Fairtrade Day
Watford Museum will be hosting this year's World Fairtrade Day Celebration in Watford on 12 May 2012 from 11am till 4pm.
Museums at Night
A free evening with live music and art as part of nationwide celebrations! Music will be provided by Silencio who will be hosting music events at the Pump House from June. Mew Lab, who lit up the museum last year, will return with an original installation of night projections inside the museum "Shadows of the Night". The event will take place from 6 to 9pm on Friday 18th May 2012 and there will be a licensed bar.
Jubilee Jamboree!
Bring out the bunting, we're having a right Royal Tea Party! On Saturday 26th May from 10.30am - 4pm, there'll be Jubilee family fun including bunting-making and crown-creating. The Little Gallery Tearoom will be presenting a parade of cakes fit for a queen and Christine Clifford's patriotic gifts!
The Little Gallery Tearoom
On the fourth Saturday of every month, The Little Gallery Tearoom will be serving cakes and drinks and offering a great little space for local people to buy from local artisans. Each month there will be a different exhibitor in our Little Gallery and a different selection of seasonal cakes and drinks in our tearoom.
The first opening was on Saturday 28 January 2012. Forthcoming dates are below; the tearoom is open from 10am to 4pm on these days. Hope you can join us for this new venture!

- Saturday 26th May - Christine Clifford's Jubilee themed home-sewn handicrafts
British Summer Time
An exhibition of up-cycled textiles is now on display in the museum foyer. Freya Brookman's eco-chic show continues until Saturday 28th April when she will the featured artist of this month's Little Gallery Tea Room!
Watford Market captured on camera

A display of photography by Dave Parker is currently on show in the museum celebrating the traders and community of Watford Market.
Scrabble Club

Want to improve your word score? Join our friendly Scrabble Club for a game at 2pm on Friday afternoons at the museum. Each session costs just £1.50.

As part of the Museums at Night activities, Eleanor Havsteen-Franklin will talk about her work in the context of her exhibition at Space2 Gallery, Watford Museum. All welcome, admission free.

Imaginary Creatures Workshop
Using clay, Eleanor will lead this hands on workshop to create your own imaginary creature. All materials will be provided. Suitable for ages 6 to 10. Admission free.
