Silver Jubilee Party, 18th March 2006
Our Silver Jubilee Party was a great success, with 250 visitors enjoying free activities including entertainment by Karen Kennedy, Jubilee-themed workshop and quizzes, and vintage vehicles brought for the day by Watford Fire Museum and John Brighton.
Watford Fairtrade Town Campaign were on hand with information, refreshments and tempting samples of Fairtrade chocolate. Mayor Dorothy Thornhill, Clare Ward MP, Deputy Chairman Cllr Rabi Martins, many of the Friends of the Museum and the museum's original curator Helen Poole helped us to cut a fantastic cake in the shape of the museum, made by Cakes of Good Taste in Bushey.
Watford Museum would to thank everyone who supported the event for their help in making it such a success.
