Frances Hanbury Williams was the daughter of Sir Charles Hanbury Williams, KB, of Hampton Court, near Leominster, Herefordshire, and the maternal granddaughter of Thomas, Earl of Coningsby from whom her son George, upon the death of his grandmother, added the name Coningsby to that of Capel. Frances died in childbirth in 1759.
