William Wissing's splendid, signed portrait of Elizabeth, Lady Capel and her Children shows Elizabeth seated, wearing a satin mourning robe, her left arm around the shoulder of her daughter Anne. Her son, Algernon, stands to the right. This head-and-shoulders portrait is almost certainly a copy by an unknown hand, taken directly from the group portrait.
