Unlocking Watford's Secrets, One Exhibit at a Time
An historic town, Watford started as a small settlement in Roman times and later became a market town in the Middle Ages.
During the Industrial Revolution, it grew significantly due to the Grand Junction Canal and the London and Birmingham Railway passing through.
In the 20th century, it saw industrial development such as printing, and after World War II, it expanded as a commuter town for London.
Today, it is known for its football club, Watford FC, and cultural attractions like the Watford Colosseum, with excellent transport links to London.
