"Watford Museum on Tour" is a series of events which kicked off in October 2023. They are helping to bring the town's history alive until 2025 (when the Museum moves to the Town Hall) and are accessible to everyone in the community. Keep a close eye on our social media channels for updates and announcements

Explore Ancient Treasures: Immerse yourself in Watford's rich history with genuine archaeological specimens, including a rare Bronze-age Phoenician bowl. Unearth the secrets of history through these artifacts.

 

Archaeologist Training: Young aspiring archaeologists can dig into our special sandpit, uncovering hidden surprises with brushes. Earn a badge as proof of your discoveries.

 

Creative Activities: Unleash your creativity with engaging coloring activities inspired by our remarkable bronze bowl.

Share Your Feedback: Don't miss the chance to view and provide feedback on our new museum designs.

Bringing heritage to Watford! 

• Who Can Attend: Kids of all ages are welcome, but please remember that children must be supervised at all times to ensure their safety.

 

Who It Will Benefit: This event offers a unique journey through time, especially beneficial for kids learning about the Iron Age to Bronze Age at school.

Booking: No advance booking or resources required, though expect potential short wait times during peak hours. Our museum staff will assist you during this self-guided event.
