"Museum on Tour" is a series of events which kicked off in October 2023. They are breathing new life into the past, creating an immersive experience that connects everyone with Watford's vibrant historical roots.

These experiences are brought to you, for free, by The National Lottery Heritage Fund, with thanks to National Lottery Players.

Place Without Prejudice Creative Workshop

The Museum of Watford team will be attending the 'Place Without Prejudice' event, held in partnership with Proud Watford and Proud Hornets.

We will be holding a creative workshop where visitors can:

  • Explore objects that capture the LGBTQ+ histories in Watford

  • Create their own artwork - drawing, colouring or writing - to add to a collective display

  • Enter a prize draw, with prizes generously provided by Watford FC and Proud Watford

  • Discover inspiring local artworks, imagining how Watford could become a place without prejudice

During the event, visitors will also be able to look up and see a growing display of artworks created by local people, each reflecting their own vision of a more inclusive Watford where everyone feels at home.

Admission is free and all our welcome!
