Watford shopping

Did you know a market has existed in Watford since the 12th Century?

The Harlequin centre was opened more than 35 years ago. John Lewis was still known as Trewins when it became the first shop to open its doors in the new shopping centre on Wednesday, August 15, 1990. Trewins had been trading on Queens Road since the 1880s where it began business as a draper.
