TrailTale
As part of our commitment to making heritage services more accessible, inclusive, and engaging for everyone, Watford Borough Council has launched a new digital heritage trail...
In partnership with the guided walk app 'TrailTale' it will provide a free, self-guided walking route that highlights Watford’s rich history and cultural landmarks. Whether you’re a resident or visitor, it’s a great way to explore the town’s past at your own pace.
What to expect
The trail is available through the TrailTale mobile app, which features over 140 historic routes across the UK. Watford’s trail includes a blend of historic photographs, engaging facts, and accessible storytelling, helping to bring the town’s past to life in a fresh and interactive way.
As part of the experience, the trail also features content from our ‘100 People Who Made Watford’ project – short stories celebrating individuals who have played a significant role in shaping the town’s identity and community. If you are included in the app and would like to view the content or request any changes, please get in touch and we’ll be happy to share what’s been included.
